Not all shelters are welcoming for various reasons. In countries where everyone has a home, there aren't any preconditions to qualify for shelter. The only precondition should be the fact that you do not have a home. Our bridges do not support wheelchairs, prams or bicycles. And we regularly have the dumping of rubbish underneath our bridge. Any clean ups which occur generally occur near the street facing section. And doesn't address the core water infrastructure issue or the incessant waste issues on the train line and under the bridge. Our displaced community only has access to soup kitchens Monday to Friday 3 times a day. On Saturdays mornings only. There is a local food truck who is happy to assist with meals on Saturdays and Sundays 3 times per day.
